Medico-legal
Having worked extensively with solicitors and in courts over my career, I have provided medico-legal assessments for Criminal and Family courts, Parole Board Hearings and the Court of Appeal. I balance psychometric assessment with sensitive and independent evaluations so that the best outcomes can be found using expert psychological knowledge.
Assessments for Family Court
I assess parents/family members in areas such cognitive ability, risk, substance use, domestic violence, mental; health and personality, capacity to change, prioritising children's needs, impact of own parenting, sexual risk, therapy and treatment recommendations.
Medico-Legal Reporting
I can provide Medico-Reporting for cases within Family court, Criminal court, Court of Appeal, Parole Board Hearings, Civil Court and within Immigration.
Capacity Assessments
I can complete timely assessments of capacity to litigate, fitness to plead or conduct proceedings. This can be in addition to cognitive assessments and assessment of learning disability.
Criminal Assessments
I can assess in community or within prisons exploring cognitive ability, memory, risk, sex offender assessments, suggestibility, compliance, malingering, anger, mental health, personality, suitability for release/step down.
